Danny Ildefonso is a former professional basketball player from the Philippines who is considered one of the greatest centers in the history of Philippine basketball. He was born on December 9, 1976 in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines.
Ildefonso began his professional career in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) in 1998 when he was drafted as the first overall pick by the San Miguel Beermen. He played for the Beermen for most of his career, helping the team win numerous championships.
Known for his strong post moves, excellent footwork, and rebounding skills, Ildefonso was a two-time PBA Most Valuable Player and an eight-time PBA All-Star. He was also a member of the Philippine national basketball team and represented his country in various international competitions.
Ildefonso retired from professional basketball in 2014 after a successful 16-year career. He currently works as a coach and mentor for young basketball players in the Philippines.
